Week 13 Entry

One of the parts that stood out to me the most was when he talked about his strengths and weaknesses. I thought it showed a lot of self awareness and honesty. It takes a strong person to look at themselves and figure out where they are falling short and what they need to improve. He said two of his biggest strengths are building relationships and being able to recognize business needs and come up with ideas. I think those are really important traits for an entrepreneur to have. It shows that being successful in business is not just about having a good product or service, but also about knowing people and thinking creatively. He also mentioned two things he wants to get better at. One is taking time to appreciate people’s efforts in the moment. I get that this can be hard in the world of entrepreneurship where everything is moving fast and there is always something else to do. But showing appreciation can go a long way. The other thing he wants to work on is being less judgmental. I think that is something a lot of people struggle with, especially at work. Everyone has different roles and responsibilities, and sometimes we don’t know what other people are going through. It is easy to judge when we do not have the full picture. He also talked about what we can expect on the path of entrepreneurship. He said that things will not always go as planned, there will always be more to do than there is time, and the work will be hard. But if we focus on growing and becoming better, we can handle those challenges. That really stuck with me. It made me realize how important it is to work on ourselves, not just our business ideas. I think this is something that lines up with the essence of the gospel as well.
