Week 7 Entry
This week the biggest thing that stood out to me was the utilization of Stephen Coveys 7 Habits. We went over all seven in a summary format covering the main points, which I feel can apply to everyone’s life if they look for ways to improve themselves. The first was be proactive. The more we are willing to be the first to ask, volunteer, or step up to the plate when we are needed or can add value, the quicker we will find ourselves progressing in life. People trust and value hose that they don’t need to supervise all hours of the day, they know they can trust you and will come to them if they need anything because you are independent and a go getter. The second was begin with the end in mind. Having a vision and goals you are working towards is the only way you can progress anywhere in life. Third is put first things first. The ability to prioritize and make things happen regardless of how busy you are is a crucial skill in life and in entrepreneurship. Next is thinking in terms of win/win, which is when you approach something from a non-scarce mindset, and have other best interests in mind. Next is seeking to understand before being understood. If everyone took this approach we would have a more loving and accepting world. We have to do our part to help others feel heard and loved before we can push our idea out to anyone else. Next was to synergize. Basically, work with a team. Learn how to provide value individually and in a team to be the most productive you can I every setting. Lastly, sharpen the saw. You want to continue to hone your abilities and master your craft so you can continue to add value and make your mark in the world
