Week 12 Entry
This week, I learned a lot about how business, faith, and service connect. Elder Holland’s talk reminded me to stay humble. No matter how much success we have, we all rely on God’s grace. Achievements, wealth, or even righteousness don’t make anyone better than someone else. We all need the Lord, and that should shape how we treat others in life and business. I also thought a lot about consecrating my career. It’s possible to be successful without relying on God, but real fulfillment comes when we dedicate our efforts to Him. Hard work and achievement can happen without faith, but the lasting joy and blessings that come from aligning our work with His purposes require trust in Him. Success that is only about money or status fades over time. What really lasts is the way we serve others and the impact we have on their lives. This changes how I see my own career. It isn’t just about making a good living but about using my skills to do something meaningful. Thinking about my own goals, I know that money is attractive, but I don’t want it to be my only focus. I want financial success to give me freedom, take care of my family, and allow me to give back. Most importantly, I want my work to help people and make their lives better. Moving forward, I want to remember that everything I have is a blessing. I also want to dedicate my work to God and trust that He will guide me in the right direction. Finally, I want to make sure I stay focused on serving others instead of just chasing success. I believe that is the key to real joy and lasting success. This week help me put into perspective the why behind what we do, specifically in business and what makes that so important.
